Can we have a definitive available for selection date for Messrs. Williams & Walsh?

Obviously we don’t want to reveal our hand too much to Swansea, but if neither of them is available tomorrow what exactly is going on?

Walsh seemed to be sat with the subs in midweek & Williams has been pictured running on the grass before the international break, so it just seems baffling.

Both Walsh and Williams must surely be fully fit by now but obviously lack game time so I’d be very surprised if either of them start against the Jacks - bench for at least one of them I reckon.

For info, I believe Walsh picked up his quad injury when he returned to City in July as part of the post-lockdown games, when him, Moore, Morrell and Szmodics seasons were cancelled with their loan clubs.  He didn’t do it in March for Coventry.  It was diagnosed as being an 8-weeker.  Would suggest he’s had set-backs along the way.  Easy to think you are fit, train well, everything going smoothly, then you flat out sprint, or stretch for a ball, or drive the ball at Max power and strain it again.

Williams wasn’t injured at Wigan, he got injured in the behind closed doors inter-club game at Failand that took place after the Cheltenham friendly at AG.  No more info than that.

Why must they? Haven't seen anything on the OS about them being fully fit!

Do you want them to say, "Walsh and Williams are not yet fit enough to play" once a week?

Of course not, but the fans were told both were expected to be back after  the international break.....  did that mean Xmas then ?

I find it strange that so little feedback but I expect that MacGregor will find out !  Lets be fair, we are told Baker out till Xmas, no doubt after Monday we will be updated as supporters on Mawson... It is not asking much in a PR job to let fans know what's going on.

I’ll admit I’m seriously concerned about the Walsh contract situ. It all feels a little Maynard to me.

Yep, keep hearing various updates of "talks going well" with him and Fam (mainly Fam TBF) but it is getting a little worrying. Bit like the fitness issues, annoying and worrying in equal measure.

Admittedly it’s a little worrying that there has been no sign of these two coming into contention. Haven’t seen anything pre match either for tomorrow’s game from Holden re injury updates.

Unless DH is keeping a big secret about Williams and Walsh, I can see O’Dowda stepping in that 3 tomorrow.

It's probably quite unfair but I think O'Dowda is the player of ours I've been least enthusiastic about since Neil Kilkenny.

Both seeing soecialists this week according to Mc Gregor

" Tonight is indeed a unique occasion in the history of television. We are very privileged, and deeply honoured to have with us in the studio, Karl Marx, founder of modern socialism, and author of the 'Communist Manifesto'. Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov, better known to the world as Lenin, leader of the Russian Revolution, writer, statesman, and father of modern communism.  Che Guevara, the Cuban guerrilla leader.  And Mao Tse-tung, leader of the Chinese Communist Party since 1949.

And the first question is for you, Karl Marx. The Hammers - The Hammers is the nickname of what English football team?"

Exactly right. It's so vague these days.

I still have no idea how Walsh got injured or Williams for that matter. I gather they have both had thigh injuries now going back months.

Dasilva made the bench against Sheffield Wednesday and Forest. Surely he's too good a player not to be in the squad.

Miss the days when the media could have had a chat with Buster to pass on real information.

Because you missed the interview last week where (I think it was Holden, but could have been another member of the coaching staff) spoke about Liam Walsh's injury - doesn't mean it didn't happen..!

Basicslly a niggly injury that's justing a long time to heal properly.

Baker is the only long term injury absentee.

Weirdly I think we could have done with a late O’Dowda cameo on Tuesday night. The game was dead flat and I think a change of personnel was needed in the midfield, not the front two.

Neither Walsh nor Williams has kicked a ball in anger as we approach the end of October. Given there is no sign of them being fit any time soon - though they are perpetually said to be 2 weeks away - I would say they are long term injuries.

The way these things usually pan out I fully expect to be told soon they both need surgery!

Baker will be back before them at this rate!

They probably will do, if their injuries don't heal up as they are expected too.

There's obviously some sort of complication or delay, which is probably why updates are vague.

Yes, so the sensible answer is "We don't know, we'll say when we have some certainty", which is better than saying 2 weeks then saying 2 weeks again the next time you are asked etc, etc.

They probably expect it to be 2 weeks, when they say that.

I think you are focusing on 2 cases, where there are apparent complications/delays.

Usually recover projections are pretty bang on, with most cases
