I have been catching up on some old In Our Time podcasts and I listened to one today about the Nobel Prize winning mathematician Paul Dirac. He was a contemporary of Einstein who called him a genius.

There were many suggestions as to whose statue could replace Colston's back when the demonstrations were rife, maybe he could be a contender?

Throw him in the docks

I was waiting to see if someone would ask "gas or City?" and I don't know the answer. My original thought was that he was a mathematician and we know how bad gasheads are at maths! But then I realised that his field was inventing mathematical theories to explain why mechanical things worked, in other words he made up some maths to prove a point....... I am afraid he may have been gas!
