November will show us if We are contenders for promotion.

We have some very tough matches in November and if we can get three or four decent results then we will be looking good for a top six finish IMHO.

December, on the other hand throws up some ‘ weaker ‘ teams .

The City of old would have a respectable November and bodge up the ‘easier’ December matches.

It will be interesting just so we can either enjoy our football without the expectation of a promotion push or get serious for a shot at the big time.

Yes Major.....next two months will map out our season I recon.

Walsh and Williams returning could make a difference.

We are really unlucky with the amount of injuries yet again this season. It is frustrating that Walsh and Williams have yet to appear. If Kalas doesn't stay fit I can see us really struggling in defence.

Hard to know if the next month or so will tell us our potential or if it willl look different when (if) the injuries clear up.

Every club gets injuries Rob and it’s important to have depth in the squad.
This time last season LJ had a real problem with the lack of CBs and managed to sign the past it Ashley Williams, who did a decent enough job at least until City faced the Baggies at AG..............

Getting everyone fit & keeping them so will be key..?

Is anybody else struggling to care as much as they normally would? This isn't an attack on the club at all, but with fans banned and having to watch/follow remotely I just feel... detached.

Without fans, what is sport? Dunno, just all feels a bit pointless. Caught myself just chatting away to friends in the pub on Saturday during the final 10 minutes of the game. In usual times I'd be intensely gripped. Odd.

Not just you. Finding watching the games on TV boring tbh, It was ok for a few games.

Of course - certainly the top six. Top two is a very tough ask tho.

I think you're going to be disappointed I'm afraid.

Without the injuries we've had, top 6 would have been achievable but still unlikely. With the injuries I think we're dead in the water and will finish mid table yet again.

Not to mention the insistence of starting 2 forwards as midfielders given the abundance of players we have who specialise in that position.

Watching foot ball live on tv is perfectly acceptable if you have background crown noise on. Without it watching the live game does seem bland and soulless.

As for City - not going to AG is a huge pain in the arse that I’m sure we all feel the same way. Robins TV is a poor substitute for the real thing.

Doesn't mean tho that I’m any less a City fan. I’m still as passionate about the club as I’ve always been. We just have to see this pandemic thru however long it takes.

Absolutely. My housemate doesn't appreciate it when I chant "your support is *****ng s**t" and "you're supposed to be at home" at her.

Without the fans you lose that shared passion.

Just a daft thought going through my mind but I wonder if supporters who normally sit in the Dolman turn the telly or laptop off 5 or 10 mins before the end of each game.

I wonder if Ashton and co might appreciate how much the game of football has missed the heart and soul of the club . Yes, the Fans/ Supporters when we are allowed to return, bringing the atmosphere and the passion that's missing from the game. Or we still be looked upon as mere customers ? To extract cash from.

Agree.  There are probably 4 main contenders for top 2, but I think We are in the mix with a number of clubs for top 6.

Ahead of the season I would have speculated that we're on a par with Swansea so aside from some frustrating moments in the game, a draw is a pretty predictable outcome.

I probably hadñ Forest and Derby at that level too so it's pleasantly surprising to see them give us a head start on them!

Watford, Norwich, Brentford and Bournemouth I would have said have stronger squad so I have us in a pile of teams all vying for 5th and 6th (in theory).

This was my pre-season prediction:

I had 3 of the 4 you list, and the one I was missing (Watford) I had as 5th.

Reading are the early season curve ball, plus Luton too.  But early days.

I think the Bournemouth and Norwich games will be good to see how we shape up against two top 6 sides (Swansea game was too).

If we compete with them then we have an opportunity of the play offs, if we get outclassed then we will probably be outside the top 6 by Saturday evening and have no more than an outside shot of promotion.

If we could just play with a bit of tempo and more movement off the ball who knows what could happen. Really hard to understand how sides just look lethargic sometimes

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays on the pitch as well as red cards are quite rare really.

Rarer for some than others though the odds are in his favour, reckon he was lucky to stay on the field last time he played.
