Nahki Wells - crap signing.

His scoring in the first half of last season was unsustainable. He was massively outperforming his xG and it was clear from the stats that to expect it to continue with us was wishful thinking.

He's essentially regressed to what he is...a 1 in 3 striker with a worse goals per game record than Diedhiou.

It's no surprise at all.

Martin isnt a goalscorer. He has other attributes. Wells has zero attributes other than apparently scoring goals.....which he isnt doing.

Go support liverpool then....you are watching a championship footballer, he isnt gonna score every game, he has 8 goals in 26 games for us, if he scored today it would be 9.....that is a generally an average/decent return for a player at this level. He aint gonna be Mo Salah mate.

We needed a runner, we signed a goal scoring no all round game player, and he's currently missing lots of chances never mind the penalty.

Big problem, because who's going to buy him from us with his age and contract?

We chose to go for it, and let LJ sign a player like that

I'm not entirely going to blame Ashton either, he just negotiates the deal right? Someone has to have the final sign off on buying a player with little to no prospect of any resale value. So whoever did that, bad move, because it hasn't worked.

8 in 26. Remove the penalties. Bot good enough return for someone who offers nothing else.

First 4 games were against 4 poor sides.

Stoke? That was their only defeat in the first 7.

Forest? Where do you reckon they will finish?

Wednesday? That was also their first defeat, they won 2-0 at Cardiff in their next game.

Absolute bollocks.

Bottom half, relegation zone, relegation zone (when we played them).
