By the time we play them; their new Abu Dhabi owners will have probably installed Pochettino as manager ! ?

(just kidding, of course)

At the moment Pochohantas is more likely.

Considering the injuries and illness , ending the last section of the season with 2 young lads that have not played before, we are doing bloody well.
Now I start to worry, when (if) we get players back after the break, what impact they will have. I'm as guilty as anyone hoping they will improve us a fair bit. That is definitely not a given though.

Absolutely but if Cocu sacked , guess who play them next !

Inspired by manager Rooney ??

Going by the Derby forum they want Cocu sacked and they hope he takes Rooney with him.

How he stayed on for 90mins was a mystery to most of em.

Hopefully Wayne will be in control by the time they arrive at the Gate.!!!!

Definitely not a given.

This time last season we had a big injury list ( on the verge of getting Williams on loan?), despite which were well placed in the league and anticipating things improving further once our casualties returned.

As it turned out, it was when injured players started to return that our results took a nose dive.

Does fee a little different though. It will certainly be interesting to see how Holden sets up and who plays.

Dropped 3 places was it, about par.

All really close atm though, we are in the hunt and with significant players to come back.

Norwich at home, could've got more tbh- two simple balls for their opening two, conceding the killer third right on HT, not saying they weren't well taken of course, clearly- and then even the penalty miss. They were very good but goals wise, I would've liked them to have to earn them more easily.

Unfortunately we made them look good

Looks good Dave, but the teams in the top 7 spots we have played we have not done to well and the majority of our wins are against the lower sides in this division. The table is starting to show now the stronger teams in this league and I would suspect that by end of December we will start to see higher points differences from the top ten teams from the rest of the league. Reading, Watford most likely will be 6 or more points away from the 3rd place club also by end of December. Lets hope we are in a strong 4th or 5th spot by then.

Not sure about reading . I think they’ll fall away . Opposition teams seem to have sussed their new manager. I personally think Watford will win the league fairly easily. Andre grey, Troy Deeney and Will  Hughes are just returning from injury. They’ve kept a large part of their squad . Bournemouth also , although they seem to concede a few.
I think you could Chuck a blanket over 10-15 clubs though for the play offs , us included. Most teams look world beaters one week and panel beaters the next .

It's a good start considering the injury list and the lack of a preseason, and it could be argued that it was more important than ever that we at least matched previous starts because of the fuss over Deano's appointment.
