Bristol Rob
Aye, the lad had a bit of ability make no mistake, and to be honest, he was probably far more loved in every country that isn't England due to the hand of God goal and the still-fresh-in-the-mind Falkland conflict. Absolutely one of the greatest ever.
Red Army 75
Absolute genius of a player . The second goal against England was the best goal I’ve seen. Sad news he has passed away. But with the lifestyle he lead after football it’s comes as no surprise. RIP Maradona unbelievable talent

I think that was 94 USA wasn’t it? The Gasbuster
Never forgave him for "that" incident. However, one of the top 5 players of all time. A character that will be sadly missed. Like all Argentinians; he was very passionate about his home country. The "Boca" is a poor deprived area in Buenos Aires. The whole place is like a shrine to Maradonna, well worth a visit. There will be many tears shed there tonight.

Bristol Oil Services
"He was a cheat," yes, as were all those that tried to stop him and hacked lumps out of him. Football is a game of winning-at-all-costs and gaining whatever advantage you can get away with. Wherever it is played. In case you hadn't noticed. Yes,,, all pros have fouled someone, loat their temper at some stage. maradona was a genius, and geniuses are often flawed... but with his lifestyle his heart giving out was inevitable. for those of us of a certain age though,,,, he was our messi, as a kid to watch football of him was like watching someone from another planet
Major Isewater
One of the game’s greatest players and characters. A deeply flawed individual but the world is a little less colourful without him. A sad day.

The Gasbuster
Maradonna was loved in Scotland for the handball incident against us A bit like the 15ers and their infatuation with Dean Windass I suppose. Incredible player. Watch the documentary - it’s phenomenal and goes through both the football and the mafia side. RIP Harder the better for Pele, surely? Documentary was fantastic.
