Bristol City v Birmingham City Match Day 16

Recommended Posts

First half in a nutshell

RIP Luke, thoughts to his family and friends, along with the three others who tragically lost their live this week.

A poor opening 25 minutes, with us unable to look after the ball, repeatedly giving it away very cheaply. We then had a better ten minutes or so and created a chance on 27 minutes with COD just unable to connect.

Decent half from AN, COD, TK and AN.

Both keepers untroubled.

Their number 6 is closing in on a yellow card. Think the main threat to us is from Friend’s overlaps.

Fist goal crucial, they score and it will be close the game out, we score and their fragile confidence will suffer and there could be more goals for us.

We’re people honestly expecting a gripping quality performance against Birmingham? They have loads of 0-0s this season for a reason.

W3, D7, L5

Only 3 games where they've conceded more than one goal.

Best defence in the bottom half (14 conceded, we've conceded 15) and only 4 away from home.

First half summary:

City growing into it the game, territory gradually moving up the pitch.

Defence nice and solid.

Brunt playing a bit better, Rowe’s distribution not been on the money at all...too many channel balls falling short.  Needs to improve that.

Wells and O’Dowda bright.

Brum...niggly foulers (11).  Cards will come out second half.  Semenyo doing fine against Colin, has got the run on him I think.
