Brentford v Bristol City postponed... Again!

In hindsight this season should probably never have started. The intensity of it following on shortly after the end of last seasons extension has placed enormous physical and mental pressures on players resulting in so many injuries. Cancelling this season will probably become a real possibility as the postponements increase. In my opinion it would be better to do so now when nothing is won or lost on the field.

The alternative is many more postponements and the season running over into the summer followed by another short break and then go again. Cancel now and start afresh in September when hopefully we will be in a much better situation.

You wouldn't be saying this if we were in top 2 or in playoffs.

It can't due to the Euros, there's a set date seasons have to finish before players meet up with international squads, we'll see teams playing 4 times a week to fit fixtures in having to use youth players before the possibility of finishing over the summer as its just not an option for prem teams and a lot of teams at championship level have international players.

They'll just play 'double fixtures' of 1 hour duration each, like we used to in the suburban league.

That's assuming the Euros go ahead as planned. Uefa have already ruled out full capacity crowds, saying it'll likely be 70% capacity maximum. There are some options to play with the format too, or will it come too early and have to be cancelled permanently?

It won't be cancelled until the last minute imo, the amount of money involved. Basically so late that the football league can't say 'its okay we'll just delay games until over the summer again'
