If the can keep most of the players after coming down they should be able to get a top 6 place. Plus add the best players from other teams. The other key factor is team spirit if they are all pulling in the same direction if they have this as well then the upper end of the top 6 should be achieved. BUT....Half way through the season now and if people want to discuss play-offs, you have to talk about our results against those teams so far: City vs top 6: 0 W - 2 D - 3 L (Yet to play Brentford) = 2 from 15 City vs top 8: 1 W - 2 D - 4 L = 5 from 21.
