In the last 12 league games we have taken 100 fewer shots than our opponents.

95 shots taken v 195 allowed.

It's not everything, but it's quite a large part of the game.

Wow.

Stick that down the throats of the people on here who can't understand why people still aren't happy.

There's no way on god's earth you control possession, or dominate a game, by picking Vyner, Bakinson, Palmer and Semenyo as your midfield.

Were fine.

Until Rowe went off. Then we shat the bed, underwear, and floor in equal measure, with no LB on the bench.

Any confidence we had left the field with Rowe imo.

Across the whole season so far we've taken 225 and allowed 357. In an average game we take 9 and allow 14.

Last season under LJ our average was 10 for and 15 against.

Shots on target is 3 for and 4 against this season, versus 3.2 for and 4.5 against under LJ last term.

We can use different players, we can switch formations, we can play Palmer wide, central, or on the bench, but for all the huff and puff the end result - what the players actually produce - is almost exactly the same.

Goals for and against may be all that matters tonight. But if you're trying to build a consistent, well-performing team that can deliver across a 46 game season, then you need consistently good numbers. The numbers we produce do not match the numbers that a normal top 6 team produces.

Any golfer can have one good hole, but it's a consistent swing and method of play that gets you round 18 holes under par.

Saturday 4 shots on target = 3 goals, tonight 2 shots on target = 2 goals! As the home team we didn’t even win a corner while they managed 13!

After half an hour tonight was pretty much attack against defence. With thanks to some good defending and some very good fortune somehow we hung on. Delighted by three points but remain seriously concerned by our stats and style of play.

Just imagine for a moment we had a team of flair which we would all love.

We’d walk the division.

I actually think we already have players with flair.  The problem is it is drilled out of them by inept coaching

Keep wondering what a decent coach would get out of these same players, certainly not this evening’s second half.

We need coaches with some backbone that can instil that in the players, not the floppy bunny nice Bristol City coaches we recruit
