Once butter has melted, keep spooning the butter over the steak as it cooks. That’s stage two, once they’ve mastered the basics

Years back, a mate and his girlfriend were in Floyd’s restaurant one evening and he came out of the kitchen and asked if he could sit at their table, he ate with them, put some decent wines on the table and then picked up the bill. Apparently it wasn’t unusual for him to do that - probably why he wasn’t financially successful!

Yep, despite the plummy accent he was a council estate boy from Somerset and got his break into restaurant ownership in Bristol. Even post-fame, when he divided his time between the Dorset coast and south of France, he still was a regular visitor to our city. I have no evidence, but I'm claiming him as a Red. Fordy62
I’m late to the party here, but here are my top tips; 2 fillet steaks at Lidl £7. Brilliant quality. We’ve also recently signed up to Gousto and it’s been bloody fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone. (I’ve got a half price code if anyone wants one!).
