The bottom three I think likely to be Wycombe Rotherham and hopefully Birmingham we just need 10 more points for safety

10 points..? How have you calculated that...?

Any formula or prediction technique whatsoever, so just spouting shite based on the usual avalerage that everyone knows about and doesn't need a thread..?

Does everyone also know that Preston moved above us last night after beating Blackburn? dropping us down a place, indeed our Mr Cunningham scored a scorcher of a shot.

On to Watford then, memories of them and visits there the "Bees Nest" got upset and smashed a few coach windows back in the days of J Galley and co think we won 3/4 nil but will have to check that as memory banks are a bit shot.

One things for dam ******* sure, if we don’t sort out the management from top to bottom we’ll be rock bottom next year, our luck will run out!!

That’s my biggest concern, clubs generally regress to relegation and we appear to be on that downward slope season by season

What has Preston over taking us got to do with the bottom 3 catching us..?

UMMM one less team below us, so therefore we are closer to the bottom 3; seems some are hoping for Derby to go into admin, rather than our hot strikeforce getting us out of trouble. Thank fully we have some decent defenders/goalies that will prob keep us in this division. Tough month continues today we have to improve on recent efforts or make no mistake we will be in trouble.

City have 39 points and around 53/54 is usually enough to avoid the drop.

No its not....

That was needed once in recent times, back in 2012/13.

The "usual" (average) number needed to survive is 47.

Basically, at this stage, with around 54/57 points left for teams to play for, nobody knows what will be needed yet.

A mid table team overtaking us does not increase the chances of us finishing in the bottom 3 places by any percentage whatsoever.

Only the bottom 3 teams closing the gap on us effects that threat.

I’m getting prepared for the worst scenario..........

Fingers crossed we can get to 48 points sooner rather than later

We'll be OK, even it is likely to be due to our early season form. I'm more interested in Rovers and Swindon finishing in the bottom 4 to be honest ?

I seem to remember Gasheads saying the exact same thing about us at this stage of the 2013/14 season.

I've given up on this season. Look at the top six now, they are pulling away due to their consistency. There's a big group of clubs in the much of a muchness middle and then 5 clubs at the bottom plus Wycombe who are adrift.

All this talk of play offs is just meaningless rubbish now. We'd have to go on massive winning run to turn the tide and at least one out of 5th or 6th going on a dreadful run.

Forget injuries, If Holden had any sort of idea other than the blindingly banal "We go again" this strategy would've been implemented a long time ago.

It's like being 2:0 down after 70 minutes with hardly a shot on target all match hoping that suddenly we get three or four shots on target in the last 20 minutes after doing nothing for the previius 70 minutes to win the match.

It ain't going to happen but it's the hope that kills you.
