Afternoon all,

I run an EFL blog, and we looked at 7 potential managers that could replace Dean Holden, and pick who we think should take over the Ashton Gate hotseat.

Have a read below.

What have you based this on or is it complete guesswork? If you know anything about BCFC, never in a month of Sundays will it be Pulis. The Cowleys and Harris are the only two realistic shouts you name, IMO, and neither do it for me.

Come on fella. Pulis ? Bit of due diligence required here.

"Holden was instilled into the role as head coach after impressing during his short spell in temporary charge following the departure of Lee Johnson, and Holden now follows in his footsteps in having departed the Somerset outfit and they are now searching for third manager in less than a year."

I'm not sure about that chief

It's a question of nerve to my mind. Holden got us to 7th, I think with a very good points to game result until the Norwich game about 4weeks ago. If the Club think we can stay up with a short term appointment (Like Harry Rednapp-but not 'Arry) that is the smart move as we have longer and more choice ahead of next season. If we haven't enough points and we can get any of the realistic candidates, it is Cook for me - by a long, long way.

Terrible article. Research the club instead of just listing out of work managers before posting junk like that.

Appreciate your feedback, however would hasten to add that we have not just simply listed out of work managers on there for the sake of it.

Danny Cowley has a proven track record, Eddie Howe too.

Neil Harris and Nigel Pearson has experience of managing at this level before.

I understand there is critics of Pulis, but he has been at the club before, and has had success from this division.

Football knowledge in this article is worse than your terrible grammar.

Well the site of the ground used to be in Somerset. Admittedly that was two hundred years ago!

Errr...IIRC, last time he came to AG, he had to have a police escort. Ex Gas, Welsh, played vile hoofball, brought in useless journeymen, utterly alienated fans and players (to such an extent that players were coming onto the forum apologising).

So, no, not Pulis.

Research process as a minimum

1) Has the suggested manager ever worked with the club before

2) How did it go?

I don’t think he realises by the time the full OTIB posters have finished we often know whether the candidate has ever farted in church.

Maybe SL ought to let OTIB do the background checks

Son.

You’ve had an absolute mare.

Just admit it and then we can all move on and pretend this never happened.
