Drastic measures needed

The players are clueless, the coaches are clueless and were slipping further down the league.

This team needs an experienced manager in charge ASAP before we're scrapping for our lives.

Come on Steve. No long interview process needed here. We need a firefighter. Nigel Pearson in on Monday to kick ass and get a nice bonus to keep us up. Then regroup in the summer

Its utter garbage. But this has not just happened. It was starting to happen under Johnson and some streaky results perhaps glossed over how good we really were. The football being served up is frankly upsetting and a disgrace. Two England coaches advocating lumping the ball forward....poor tactics... If Steve's reading this, I am available.

What was the point of sacking Holden and putting these two in charge?

"we dont need anyone to come in and destroy whats been built" (we`ll do that all by ourselves

Posted this elsewhere but it’s more relevant here. Hope Steve is reading desperately as only he can act and save us:

We DO NOT have 6 weeks to fart around with this appointment, these players have totally forgotten what to do with that weird spherical thing that keeps getting kicked in their goal. We need someone in sorting this ******* mess NOW. Last time we took 6 weeks it was annoying, this time it may sink us to L1. You have your list of 12, pick the best one and ******* appoint them.

Nailed it. The culmination of about 4 years "coaching"

Same as appointing Holden in the first place. The decision makers at this club are hopelessly inept. For christ sake why can't they see that to compete in this league you need to employ a proper manager and let him manage without interference. Meanwhile over at Cardiff... makes you sick.

Shoot me in the face when Jamie Paterson is the answer to our problems.

Agree. Absolutely spineless and nowhere near consistent enough in his time here.

He shows glimpses but ultimately he’s with us for a reason. Flair players tend to not be the most likely to battle for you but he’s definitely not someone you want in the trenches with you.

I think he must of been with us for around 4 and a half seasons now and I most definitely wouldn’t offer him a new deal.

Relegation is absolutely unacceptable. I refuse any argument that claims it would be 'good for the club', the 'kick in the arse' we need, a 'chance to rebuild'. We must stay in the Championship. Every day that passes without recruiting a new manager hurts the club - exactly as it did in the summer. Holden was a terrible appointment, and we all knew it at the time. It must not happen again.

Stopgap measures are also unacceptable. That means caretakers, interim coaches until the end of the season. We need a permanent full-time experienced head coach, right now, first thing monday morning. They must not think too hard or too long about the 'right appointment' either. Analysis leads to paralysis - which is also what lead to DH. Last year they totally screwed up and probably missed out on a number of really good candidates that would have taken the club forward. And forget protecting the 'DNA' and the culture of the club. It's precisely these which are broken.

Agree.  Go and get your number one target next week.

the players are clueless because nobody with any knowledge is there to guide them.

It's not difficult is it?

2013 things had gone deeply wrong and though I didn't want us to go down, I could see it as a way to buy time to rebuild.

This is nothing like that. Revamped Stadium, new Training Ground, Conference facilities etc etc- relegation from here would be catastrophic.
