What was Pearson before all the movement? That’s a lot of money being placed on him or intel info for it to drop that quickly and low!

Not sold on the Pearson idea at all.

Players are on their knees mentally, they need picking up and organising not yelling at. They need to see someone stood in front of them who they can believe in, someone who will rebuild confidence and tactically instruct them.

I get that emotions are running high but Holden has been largely ridiculed for seemingly being a one trick, look yourselves in the mirror, pony, and now people want a guy on the basis, whether he’s a solid tactician or not, that he’d smash the mirror over their head.

I’m not saying it couldn’t work but I think it could just as easily exacerbate the situation.

He restored some faith and gave a lifeline to watford last season before he was wrongly fired

Yep, this looks like intelligence as opposed to lumping on (unless it’s a big lump on). The movement out of everyone else certainly is a sign as well.

I’d be happy with Pearson. Ticks the boxes of knowing the division, immediately available and won’t take crap from anyone. He’s probably third on my list behind Cook and Howe but it’s by no means a distant third.

And that sound you heard is Mark Ashton soiling himself.

After yesterday’s shambles both on and off the pitch an unattached, experienced head makes sense.

As said previously, worry it could backfire, but there’s plenty id like less.

Someone might need to make sense of this paragraph for me..

That’s what I mean, someone who knows lumping on.

Sorry mate, I’ve tried to reword that and it’s as simple as it gets

- Appointed when bottom by seven points

- Sacked when three points above drop zone

- Relegated without him
