Nigel Pearson - Confirmed ‘Manager’ Till End of Season

He had Covid last year, took some time to get over it. But listened to an interview with him possibly in October/November last year, saying he’s ready to go back in with the right offer & club. He definitely got stung with Watford & believes he would of kept them up. A no nonsense person who I actually think would appreciate the way Lansdown goes about his business. Would certainly be a good option. COYR

I’d love to see:

⬇️⬇️⬇️

Manager: Nigel Pearson

Assistant: Craig Shakespeare

Head of recruitment: Steve Walsh

Chief executive: Richard Scudamore

⬆️⬆️⬆️

All of the above, as soon as possible.

Shakespeare is assistant at Villa. Last I knew Walsh was sacked by Everton and went to the States I think.

Seems to have a bit of the ‘dark side’ about him... which is an interesting character ‘trait’. Unsettling, for all and particularly so players, who at least will never be allowed to slip into any comfort zone.

If he doesn’t command, he demands respect... a good leadership quality.

Aside from that, a winner and fighter. As a team takes after their manager... that’ll do me.

Also an ability to see right through bullshitters which is a major plus point in terms of our ‘football operations’ people.

Yep, given the pool of managers we are fishing in this is a realistic appointment which could prove an excellent fit for our current needs. Go get.

More than a ‘bit’ of the dark side, believe me...

Would be overjoyed with this. Exactly what we need. Would his time at WBA crossed over with Ashton’s?

No it didn’t.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see someone like Chris Powell come in.
