Red Army 75
Really impressed with him tonight. Showed great maturity against a very tricky and strong opponent. Also to comeback with a performance like that after the Watford game shows the character of the lad . Well done

Well done Wasn`t fazed at all by Mendez-Laing, just let him commit and get the tackle in. He`s growing in confidence with every game and hasn`t let the Watford debacle get to him it seems. One Team
Fam and Wells will get the plaudits for the goals but for me Towler and Nagy were most impressive tonight.

steveybadger
Defo something to work with and think it was him who put an excellent block in to stop a shot 2nd half. That said I don’t think physically he’s quite mature enough yet, but no great surprise given his age. A good loan next season would do him the world of good I’d think. Gazred
Possibly the next in line of many quality LBs we have had over the years. Keeps growing in confidence with the performances to go with it.

Lew-T
Strong, quick and athletic. Against a physical Boro side, I thought he did brilliantly tonight. Well done lad.

And who’s choice was it to play the person you won’t name inside of Towler at Watford? Presumably the same person who previously decided Mariappa was the best option at LB. Towler will have learnt a lot from that Watford defeat. He looks like he’s got the right temperament, which is what matters the higher you go up the leagues. Midlands Robin
Having the confidence in knowing Kalas was behind him really helped. He was able to get more into the wing back role and push forward. Thankfully this will hopefully put the memories of that Watford game behind him. italian dave
Hugely impressive performance from him tonight I thought. Onenthing I really liked was his determination to stop crosses coming in. Read the game well, confident going forward, eye on the ball, as others have said hugely helped by Kalas and Nagy. downendcity
For all that we know didn't work out under DH, what we do have is young players that through circumstances have been given a chance. Bearing in mind they’ve been dropped into a team playing with little confidence and where senior players have let the side down, I reckon they’ve done well and showed that if the rest of the team is performing that they can compete at championship level. Semenyo needs to discover his shooting boots and Moore needs to be more decisive and confident, but Vyner and Bakinson have impressed and now young Towler looks like he ould be a contender for a place in the team. 189thoughts
He looked confident with the ball in their half as well. Very happy for him to take that spot until Dasilva is back.
And Its Smith
A great example of the benefit of playing youngsters. Many don’t look ready but then perform when thrown in. Let’s stop the nonsense pensioner signings and trust in the youngsters.
BTRFTG
Kid had a great game. Getting in tight for crosses and blocking them. Benefitted hugely from Nagy & KP being more forward. Lovely intervention well praised by teammates.

Port Said Red
Love to see players playing with a smile on their face too. I liked how he had no fear of getting forward, even after they tried to pin him in during the 2nd half.
RobArnold10
Am I right in thinking he’s actually a left footed CB, and not really an LB/LWB? If so then that really shows the promise in him, has an air of maturity in him and as others have said, did not look phased at all when Mendez Laing came on, really promising today. The Bard
I posted on here a couple of weeks ago saying he needed to have Kalas behind him and Nagy inside to give him the protection he needed. We did that tonight and it worked brilliantly.
