22A
Sky football, channel 403. 11.15 Sheff U v City from 2017 - 15 mins highlights. 11.45 another 15 mins prog from 2017; City v Man U. I've found this on youtube from 1959 -60. City were bottom of Div 2 and Middlesbrough were going for promotion. Attention you young 'uns. Just turn up and POTD. Stand or sit where you want, sing or chant what you want whist smoking. Also no substitutes then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pupMHDgkImQ

Oh and Warnock would have been their Manager the first time around.

I don't know if I was there because I was still at school so Saturday afternoon games at school or playing in Church of England Junior league. I've looked up the stats and we won 2-0 goals from Jimmy Rogers and Alan Williams. AW's son Gary played for us when Terry Cooper was manager. Rogers scored 102 goals for City and Big John had an off day. Team was 1.Tony Cook 2. Gordon Hopkinson 3. Mike Thresher 4. Tommy Burden 5. Peter McCall 6. Tommy Casey 7. Jimmy Rogers 8. John Atyeo 9. Alan Williams 10. Bobby Etheridge 11. John McCann Relegated at end of season. First relegation for me. But still at first match in the next season, away at Bradford City. Coach left Ashton Gate at 10.30 pm on Friday night and arrived around 8 am Saturday. No motorways. The young fans probably including Chris Garland played football in street outside Valley Parade until time for the match. Atyeo injured early in the game and we lost 2-0.
