Nahki Wells

Deserves his own thread.

Has taken a lot of stick on here with some even labelling him as “our worst ever signing” - which by the way was both completely wrong and laughable.

Has always been a quality player and players respond in different ways, early days but looks a different player since NP came in.

That finish was incredibly hard and he made it look easy.

A happy Nahki Wells is a vital player in this league.

Last 2 games he’s been playing in his position.

Keep playing him central and he will score goals.

Saved me saying it, he’s not a winger though he did a job there second half.

Bloke is a goalscorer, give him chances he gets goals, today’s finish was superb.

People who say that know absolutely nothing about football

Playing him in his best position. Also with Palmer in the side. No coincidence IMO

Although to be fair his goal came playing him  on the left! But agree keep him in the box and balls played into him , and he will score goals

The bloke is a winner.

He’s also a very handy goalscorer when you give him decent service, who knew.

That’s the key...he’s a winner.

Bents and Kalas are winners.

Since Cotts left, we have been passive, soft, with far too few willing to take responsibility, far too many willing to accept defeat.

That mentality is corrosive on winners. It affects them in different ways. Wells was the first to go - into hiding in his case, him being played out of position an aggravating factor. Kalas was the next to go with reference to the ‘better coach winning’ and then reaching breaking point with other units in the team a week or so ago. Bents as a keeper is slightly more isolated from things , but hats off to him as he came going - giving even better performances.

Hopefully, Nige will now build a team of winners.

Interesting that he scored his goal having been pushed onto the left wing.  Very good finish though.  Thought he was key second half, with Sessegnon in getting up the pitch.

Thought it was quite a narrow 'wide left' though, would you agree?

More running the left channels rather than wings, didn't see him having to put in crosses or attack from the sidelines.

Nice and close to Fam for several knock downs and able to drift in late to meet the cross for our first.

4-2-3-1 but, a compact one.

EDIT - Sorry just saw your post above as I was writing this one!
