Eddie nweski whatever his name was came up. i mentioned i never saw him play, beasent was in goal in the fa cup game. He said our dad took us to a friendly against chelsea and he was in goal? Bristol Oil Services Posted March 4, 2021 Report Share Posted March 4, 2021 Yeah, this game was arranged pre-season to give our boys a good run out ahead of the tough fixture list in 84/5 following a couple of years down in Division 4 where the competition was largely non-existent and it was thought our boys had gone a bit soft. Paid off and we hit the ground running, or not, as it were, and our boys showed some terrific form. Also served us well when facing Chelsea again in the cup a few years later, where we demonstrated that we had identified how to go after them and exploit their weaknesses, despite the top boys they had in their line up.
