Phileas Fogg
Interesting stuff, but why not add it to the designated FFP thread and also add a bit of context instead of a link with no explanation
robin_unreliant
So are they in danger of a points deduction if they lost that much in just one season? Time to turn on the Mr P spotlight? £187m losses is crazy. Is that also a debt they now carry? It's not easy to get your head around how clubs can possibly carry on like this. Davefevs
I would expect that they will be sailing close to the wind when submitting their projected accounts this month. 2018 - £5.5m loss 2019 - £25.1m loss 2020 - £15.9m loss 2021 - guesstimate - £25.1m loss 2018+2019 = £30.6m loss 2020 (50%) +2021 (50%) = £20.5m Total - £51.1m less allowances, say £3m per year = £12m = £39.1m Right on the button. Mr Popodopolous
Debts or losses? Reckon their allowances might be in the region of £4-5m a year. Should be fine for this year depending on what allowable costs occur- but I was going to look at this in a bit more depth on the FFP Thread. Moving into next year could be interesting...remember these losses are inclusive of Player Sales- that new starting point will be £20m worse off than it was this season assuming it rolls forward in the way of the average of 2019/20 and 2020/21. pride of the west
Football index is a ridiculous concept that was never going to last. I'm not sure how it was ever allowed to get off the ground to be honest. If I was a player I wouldn't want my name associated with it.
