SL’s Masterplan

It’s very obvious now that Pearson was SL’s number one man in the summer, but due to NP’s illness he had to wait it out. He therefore appointed Holden knowing that it was the cheap option he could justify sacking after 6 months, knowing that will be around the time that NP had recovered from Covid-19.

Also, knowing all the time that NP was the experienced head we needed in the summer, he would have known the level of anger at appointing a rookie manager like Holden which will have made the appointment of the experienced NP all the more sweeter when he executed his master plan.

What SL didn’t foresee was Holden doing exceptionally well at the start of the season after four league wins. He therefore asked Andy Rolls to step in and aggravate a few injuries to some key first team players, to time our dip in form for a period in which NP had finally recovered and could make a difference before the end of the season (with key players returning from injury).

Then, in an act of slight of hand, he posted an interview three days after the sacking of Holden talking about a lengthy process to find a new manager, knowing full well that he would appoint NP two days later, to throw people off the scent.

Bravo SL, you have played a blinder and got your man, hopefully setting us up in the long term and finally uniting the fan base. You also knew that we didn’t really want to get promoted during Covid without fans, and you therefore deliberately deferred our inevitable success until it could be enjoyed in front of a sold out Ashton Gate.

Your methods were unconventional, but the outcome was just as you’d hoped whilst you were plotting your scheme during those fateful six weeks last summer.

(by the way I’m joking)

Obvioussly..another disappointing post after so much promise we end up rubbish talk when there coul be some really positive comments about yesterday and hopefully another good performance on the road at Ewood?

It will be very interesting IF we can get a draw or win but then fail at home to Rothers;

Will NP get blasted by the so-called fans on here who blasted LJ for having bad runs after good runs? Does it matter if you win 12 then lose 12 compared with winning 12 away whilst losing 12 at home.

Waiting for stevieneville to come up with some nonsense so an intersting 6 days ahead!

There's lots of serious comments post game, you can't say this 'rubbish' post is like the majority of posts.

I'm interested too.

I don't think NP will be blasted IF we lose, 4 wins and 3 losses in his first month isn't awful, is it? He's not been here for 28 days, let alone over 1000.

Can't comment on the other poster.

If there are positive comments about both the performance and result on Saturday that you are sure have been missed by everyone why don't you fill in the gaps for us yourself instead of moaning about it?

I'm guessing you are anticipating negative comments about Nigel Pearson at some point soon? I'll help you out...........there WILL be negative comments on here when we lose a game or two or when Pearson makes a poor decision in terms of a substitution, team selection, formation etc. because that's pretty much the nature of a football discussion board rather than being a Pyongyang style manufactured propaganda "love-in" for the "regime" that you would seem to prefer. However, in comparison to the last two Managers at least, it is clear to all but the most negative of negative supporters (and so obviously shown in the almost unanimous posting viewpoint at present) that fans are sure we at last have a Manager who has a bit of standing in the game AND knows how to manage..........but that won't make him exempt from criticism when he gets the odd thing wrong unfortunately.

It's also interesting that you are so willing to attack other posters when you are one of two posters, in my view, that write the most incoherent musings seen on this forum. The other person actually posts some decent stuff a lot of the time and only seems to lose it after 15+ shots of vodka have been downed.........................not sure what your excuse is!!
