Schalke who play in Gelsenkirchen in the Bundesliga, have just been relegated three years after they finished as runners up to Bayern.

Angry fans pelted the team with eggs on arrival back at their stadium after an away defeat that sent them down.

They regularly get 60,000 at home games.

Please note SL that relegation could happen to us if you aren't careful.

Aren't our players lucky nobody had spare eggs after last evening's superb collapse at Wycombe!

So we could finish runners up in the Premier League then get relegated three years later....

Yeah right !

Terrible behaviour.

How would you like it if despite your best efforts you failed to meet your personal objectives in your job and on your way home people abused you like this?

If you can’t take the rough with the smooth and support your club through thick and then - God knows we’ve done plenty of that..., then become a plastic fan and only support a team when they’re winning.

Could have Hannover, Hamburg, Nurnberg, Schalke, Koln and Hertha in Bundesliga 2 next season. Some huge clubs there

Hertha have 4 games in 9 days coming up in May due to their Covid outbreak. 3 of those games are against teams directly below and above them. Hoping they stay up as our 2 trips there last year were epic , Berlin is an amazing city

HAHOHE

6th October 1979 Bristol City were taking on Liverpool at Anfield in a top flight fixture. A blinking of an eye later, City were struggling in the re-election zone of the fourth tier. Don't moan too much about being a mid table second tier team, we've had it much, much worse.

Berlin is indeed an amazing city. But there are better ways to enjoy football than in a half-empty bowl of an Olympic stadium, miles from the pitch.

Been to Hamburg and both the new Hamburg stadium and the Milentoor, St Pauli is certainly an experience! Lots of Celtic and Coventry flags when I was there.
