Team for tomorrow.

Following my previous rant a true story.

In 1957 on a Supporters Special train returning from a 1-0 win at Cardiff. I, a 14 year old, asked an England international City player about the previous week's 1-4 home defeat. The reply was "I might have been on the pitch but I didn't play".

Would any of our current underperforming, lazy lot ever have the humility and honesty to admit that to a supporter?

If only I could remember that players name. Senility is horrible.

Didn’t say anything about offering him a new deal, just said it would give Nigel a chance to play in a competitive fixture rather than something behind closed doors

fair comment Lrrr, my apologies., ok,its a nothing game now but i feel others might want to play more. im probably very wrong, normally am.  FWIW. at the start of the season,i wouldnt have bothered with Nagy, he has done more than enough for me to completely change my mind on him this season.

O'Leary, Sessegnon, Baker, Towler, Nagy, Scott, Edwards, Conway, Britton

Like it Lrrr..

Although I Would put Nagy between Pearson & Massengo & have Bakinson 'in the hole' in place of Semenyo.

Would be great to see a Louis Britton cameo!

Bench: O'Leary, Simpson (fit?)/Rowe, Pring (fit?), Kalas, Massengo, Palmer, Wells.

If Pring is available and fit, he plays for me, we need LB and he might as well have a go

Wells out, Janneh in. I honestly think you get a net gain out of that.

Woukd be an amazingly young front 6....I have no probs with that.

I’m just keen to Wells without Diedhiou (we saw 14 mins with him and Bell and there were encouraging signs).  If you could get him into pre-season with a bit of confidence, you could save a difficult recruitment search in the summer.

I'll mention only the players that I do not want to see today.

Sessegnon, Hunt, Lansbury, Diedhiou, Wells.

That may guarantee a defeat but an honourable one with nobody giving less than 100% effort.

It sounds like honourable defeats are no good to our manager at the moment.
