Lanterne Rouge
Jon Stead made his 700th career appearance for Harrogate at Cheltenham today. He was subbed with about ten minutes to go and was applauded off the pitch by both sets of players and staff. It looks like he might finally retire now! Congratulations to a player who I always enjoyed watching play for us and who is by all accounts a thoroughly nice bloke and a complete professional. Not the most talented player I`ve ever seen but you always got 100% from him. Top man Steady, enjoy your retirement.
Red-Robbo
Harrogate are his 13th club as a full-time professional. Think he might like to settle down now!
ohhhshauntaylor
How we miss players with his endeavour and work rate. Always gave 100% and a thoroughly good bloke off the pitch.

Johnny Musicworks
His contribution stood out in for what I feel was the last team that were as poor as our current one. That team were relegated whereas the current one should have been.
Red Army 75
Absolutely loved Jon Stead. What an example he has set over his career. Once again puts many players at our club to shame. Stead Stead will tear you apart again

Fordy62
My god a few players we have now could learn a lot from his work rate and class.
Kodjias Wrist
I remember there were issues agreeing initial terms and some slated his attitude but boy did the change quickly when he ran his socks off. Loved his work rate and scored a couple of crackers.
And Its Smith
I remember his debut clearly. I’d forgotten what it felt like to see a city forward with a very good first touch. Huge fan of his after that!

Let's face it many of the team he played in here didn't follow his great example.
IAmNick
I remember you always knew when he'd be subbed if we were ahead as he'd very obviously run to the other side of the pitch as the fourth official stepped forwards.
Barry Sheene
One of the few that have passed through that I admired because of his work rate and professional attitude

It would be nice if Sky got him in for some of the play off stuff too.
