Good bit of business for us, good bit of exposure and show off the stadium. Maybe let's point the camera at the Lansdown stand rather than the dolman though? ?

What exactly is wrong with the newly developed Dolman stand? unless it won't look good with people leaving early.

Be interesting what the capacity will be. For the rugby due to the vaccination centre they can't use the South stand due to access/egress issues in an emergency and therefore can't include it in any calculations .

Presume it will be 25% of capacity so 6750.

One of the issues is that a lot of people from outside the area think that Bristol is virtually as far south west as Plymouth and not only 90 mins from Birmingham and London.

Reading some of those comments in the tweet anyone would think that Bristol is in the back of beyond.

For most of the teams in play off contention they don't even have to change trains.

I'd be willing to bet that 99 percent of those whining haven't even set foot inside the Gate let alone since the renovation was completed.

**** 'em.

We are incredibly lucky to live in this part of the country, we have Bristol and Bath on our door step, London and Birmingham a short drive away and the beauty of Devon and Cornwall within 2 hours... This is truly the best City in England ❤️

Correct. Others are ignorant of this for various reasons. The main one being that, we do not promote our city by having regular mentions of it within the higher echelons of the football pyramid, where the majority of the population preside or see. Out of sight out of mind.

On another point, is Bristol that difficult to get to compared with London? Hartlepool maybe but, not Stockport and Wrexham. All this is based on the ignorance of those complaining. We have trains, coaches and excellent road links. Ignorant northerners.

It is also quite telling how many players who come here from other parts of the country, end up staying & living here after they finish their playing careers.  Alao i know quite a few ex students who came to Bristol Uni from other parts of the country and end up living here..................Bristol is a brilliant city.

That’s the point isn’t it? People, including players, can be ignorant. Being in the south west is not an asset when recruiting players. You’re far better basing yourself in the N West, Midlands or London with loads of options on your doorstep.

I don’t buy this when Swansea and Cardiff are capable of signing players. Bristol is pretty central.

Would they be still not happy if it was Wembley?

Just as far

Stupid northerner's

Yes but Wembley’s Wembley. That’s about playing there, not the distance. Plus it might be easier to travel to London from the north than to Bristol.
