Some people may ask so what? However its a nice story, rather than the site being converted to housing the two players have bought it and the site will act as a home to their two academies merging together. Its the ambition of the pair to provide sporting and educational opportunities for teenagers across Liverpool. Melwood won't just be used for football either as swimming and gymnastic hubs will also be based at the site run by former Olympians.

Not sure I just saw a story online about it, typed the basis of it out as the newspaper site had a ton of ads
