Keeper sent off during penalty shoot out

Always wondered if a referee would actually ever go through with sending off a GK in a shoot out

But I guess rules are rules and they were followed to the letter of the law here !

The only shame with this footage it doesn't show what happened next, does an outfield player go in goal or is the shoot out over?

There's a shoot out between 2 US teams (I think). The ref sends off a keeper for coming off the line. The team makes a substitute and then the ref realises that isn't allowed. Then an outfield player goes in goal. On the last kick, the outfield player saves the pen and his team wins.
