EVERYTHING the Bristol fans told us is bang on man. The bloke is utterly deluded and has no clue how to consistently win and get promoted.

This is taken from the LJ's delusional comments thread ?

My favourite quote was “he’s a danger to himself and other football clubs”! ?

We did warn them. The bloke talks a good game, but can't walk the walk. Warnock said it years ago about him 'he talks a good game' before the Rotherham game in 2016.

The problem is with LJ and many other young Managers in todays game is they lack in the basics of Management and that's motivation and man management which the 'dinosaurs' have in abundance. Footballers at Championship/L1 level want things as basic as possible and I often think he over complicated and confused things for our players.
Pep can do this with his Man City players as they are good enough and intelligent enough to understand complicated tactics and formations in matches. Lee Johnson and the young Managers of today think they are Mini Pep Guardiola's and forget that they are managing at a much much lower level than that. He then comes out with bizarre remarks in his post match interviews and I think it's to try cover his own back when if anything he just makes himself not look like Guardiola but more a David Brent.

The odd thing with Johnson is when you go on a winning run with him is you can get the feeling this guy is going places in the game and everything he says is coming to fruition, and then right when you think you're in a good position with him, the teams implode (take us being 5th with 5 games remaining in 2019).

Some of us didn't need to be warned. Some of us were warning the rest of our support. Unfortunately (and obviously) we were powerless to prevent the owners making their choice. What made it even more galling was that there were some very good candidates available at the time  we appointed Streaky Lee.

They were calling him ‘Brent’ on the Sunderland forum last night. They were begging for the same changes to be made but Johnson was obviously watching a different game.

Saw this article which just about sums up what they think of his footballing language....

Here’s another one

Funny how he couldn’t wait to coach the team and get some training sessions in, yet he’s made us even worse than we were before”

I'm tempted to even request a bet for next season for LJ to take over as Head Coach for the blue side of Bristol.

I reckon Cook will fall out with Ashton at Ipswich and LJ heads there

Are LJ and Ashton actually buddies? I always thought LJ alluded at times ongoing shenanigans at the club and playing staff were down to MA.

If that's not the case, then yes. That would appear more likely.

Why is he not impressed by Gary Johnson?

Strong tacklers Mick the Marmaliser (aka Roy Keane) and Wee Hamish (aka Graeme Souness)

Or in WeeLee's case not so strong tacklers in Mock Mick the Mediocre, 'Tiny Ween' Watkins & Wee Hammy Hakeeb.....

Sunderland fans need to accept they don’t have a god given right to get out of League One. Let alone a right to win the league, beat every team 3-0, and play like Barcelona.

They seem determined to sack another manager which will be how many since they went down? Maybe someone should suggest a long-term strategy for them.

Have their parachute payments run out now? Think they’ll only find it tougher down there next season with Wednesday and a strong Rotherham side as well as Ipswich, Portsmouth, Charlton etc. Maybe even Bolton!

Well, at least we were honest and above board in our assessment.

I see WeeLee is keen on reuniting with Watkins & Adelakun. Brilliant for us if that happens, but you may well experience a feeling akin realising you've been slipped a dud £50 note.

We all watched in the knowledge (hope) that, sooner or later these protracted,  losing streaks will turn to winning one's, sadly these were too few and far between to count for f all..

Every so called 'Expert' would say that managers never get long enough to get it right but if he was still here how many "clubs in the bag" would we have now? More than Man U?

Decent guy who had a genuine affection for our club, but whoever posted he'll be Yeovil boss in 18 months time isn't far off..

Wasn't it Ole who did the stats and showed that whenever LJ had extended coaching time - after an international break or postponement we always lost the first game after and put in a poor performance.  The longer he worked "tactically" - "on the grass" - the worst we performed!

If there was a Champions League for training sessions we'd have won it every season under WeeLee's tenure. His & our problem was the players (according to WeeLee) delivered outstanding talent in spades during training such (according to those watching) had sod all left for matchday. At least that's what his comments lead one to conclude.

No different to our records after international breaks

the more time, more options he has the worse it gets

no coincidence his best time here was when he was choosing from about 13/14 players (when Diedhiou was injured and Reid was up top)

Teams who have a settled first 11 generally tend to do better. All the great sides in History you know their first 11 from the off. LJ confused things too much

Easy to do when you've 50+ players from which to choose....

Was just about to post that in reply myself.

We were often so bad after international breaks, think we might've won a couple towards the end of his time here though!
