He’s clearly discovered Dimoxinil since the near post flick on days under big Joe

I think there’ll be a few people, having heard the name Dave Rennie over the last few weeks, will be surprised it’s not THE Dave Rennie, aka the Mad Monk near post flick artiste.

As a young lad always used to shout “Dave Rennie” when taking a 25 yard shot.

I know that this isn’t our Dave Rennie, but was our Dave Rennie known was having a hammer foot, or taking long shots, or would this have just been a childhood memory based on what we’d seen ourselves at Ashton Gate?

Not heard the name touted over the last few weeks, but have to admit when I saw the thread title I did think that!

Happy with this . Someone Nigel Pearson trusts so another thing he doesn’t have to worry about. And can concentrate on building the side. Really experienced set up the club is building. Long overdue

The thing is nige is hitting the right areas he knows what's needed.Agreed long overdue.

We were in the rovers end at Twerton we lost 3-2. But first half we said don’t celebrate with that Dave Rennie smashes one in the top bins. Up we go. :boxing:. Also last game against Walsall scored a sublime chip in a 4-0 win .

I was stood in front that old main stand when Rennie scored. Couldn't hold it in, with a similar outcome!

Pearson said: “I am delighted that Dave has decided to join us. He is the one name too frequently omitted from the Leicester City success story - his influence across the club is immeasurable and he brings a level of expertise, experience and personality which is rare in sport. Dave is an expert in ensuring that players are physically robust enough to deal with the rigours of the football season. He is an important appointment in addressing that and building a fit and resilient squad.”

Glad this has been announced.  He was spotted by a few of us in the technical area at the Brentford game, so probably been here 2+ weeks, and undoubtedly has been part of sorting out the players post season conditioning plan, ready to come back fresh in July.

Its quite possible he might have had input into why Conway and Scott didn’t play for the 23s last week.

Was at Leicester Tigers previously.

So far so good. Three quality appointments in Pearson, Gould and Rennie.

Just waiting expectantly for the recruiting specialist, a 30 goals a season striker, Brick Khazi centre half and a defensive, goal creating midfield maestro.

Add in a buccaneering right back and we're set!

Really pleased another thing has been sorted. Hopefully we’ll see a fitter, more physically resilient squad.

I love that photo and the footage of that game. The scenes that day were mad. I remember it really well. Great memories. I can’t imagine scenes like that being allowed now.

Isn't there a myth that a shot by one of our players was going wide, and one of our fans next the goalpost stuck a foot out and turned it into the goal?

Am I going mad, or did I hear that somewhere???
