Excellent fixture. Could of been very lively if that was down the gate

Would be nice if we can go

Celtics website says it’s one of three fixtures against EFL clubs (Charlton and AN Other) which are all to be behind closed doors. Indicates that despite the clubs statement, Celtic intend to have no fans there - so we may be out of luck

Strange Choice to play a relatively high profile game like Celtic behind closed doors when all restrictions should be lifted by then. Would have drawn a decent crowd that and been a good test of getting used to having a crowd to cater for.

Is Ashton Gate being used for something else in July? Possibly it being the vaccination hub may prevent us playing games there?

I doubt A&S police would want it played at AG with fans, they would bring thousands down here.

Games might be at the training ground because of re seeding the pitch at AG . They do it every year but the conference play off final is there this year which will delay it.

They will probably play Rovers, who will allow all of their season ticket holders in.

Which makes it effectively, a behind closed doors game.

Possible reason is that our Ashton Gate pitch was not reseeded last summer. If it must be done this summer, it cannot be done until after 19 June as Bristol Bears have a home play off semi final.

I seem to remember that it takes six weeks to "burn off" the grass and reseed to be strong enough to play on.

Next season starts first Saturday in August? Just about six weeks for grass to grow.

Edited.

What I said above appears to be a load of rubbish as we are now playing Celtic in mid July.

Its at the training ground isn't it, Mark Kelly said the reason games are at the training ground is because of the pitch work

Weird that we’re playing all the games at home given they need to be at the training ground, would’ve thought minimal home games would have been the way to go if no AG available

That would be one of the advantages of having a state of the art facility.

Might be a Celtic player or 2 who's head  would be turned by it.
