Jerseybean
Congratulations to the Bees. They were the only team to show up on the day tbh and having finished third in the league, for two consecutive seasons, truly deserving of promotion. 131 years since they were formed and the first time they have been in the Premier League, although they were in the first division back in the day. An excellent example of achieving success based on superb recruitment and analysis, not splashing the cash.

Just not turned up, most expensive game in football, and they’ve been totally outclassed and outplayed, they look like a very average championship team today. ExiledAjax
For me, if not us then them. Bloody well down to Brentford. A well run club who have been a pleasure to watch over the past few seasons. All the best to them.

054123
Brilliant. I can be a vile, self serving, partisan City fan sometimes, but not right now. Couldn’t be happier for the club.

They've had parachute payments all the way through the last few years. A 80k per week striker up front. Villa midfielder, chelsea centre back; and a newcastle goalie. One if the biggest budgets in the division, and have missed out for the last two seasons. How is that remarkable?
