RoystonFoote'snephew
Just 3 days after guiding Morecambe to L1 Derek Adams has quit 'to pursue an opportunity elsewhere', suggested as being Bradford City. Surely there's more to this. Morecambe's playing budget for next season?

Was mentioned with going to Bradford a few weeks back His post match interview after the play off final was fishing to see if he was going to Bradford or not Another one of footballs worst kept secrets
GrahamC
Seeing as Bradford could easily get 10,000 gates & Morecambe had the lowest budget in the entire division it is an absolute no brainer for him. Prior to Adams’ arrival Morecambe had finished 18th, 22nd, 18th & 22nd in the bottom division in their previous 4 seasons. Even in League One which is a poor standard near the bottom Morecambe have almost no chance of survival, basically like Wycombe in our league last season. Money isnt everything. A team with one on the world's richest owners finished bottom last season.
pongo88
Football management is a job just like any other job. If you’re successful, working for a small company that that’s likely to struggle, and you’ve got an offer to work for a bigger company for more money you’d be a fool not to accept. In the football world you’re likely to be sacked within 2 to 3 years, no matter how good you are, so it makes sense to accept any good offer that comes your way

Bradford are certainly a well supported club but a large proportion of their crowd were young who took advantage of the lowest priced season tickets for kids in the EFL. I wonder if post COVID Bradford will be able to sustain their prices.

Unless they bring in someone who just clicks with the club. Perhaps they saw this coming?

Fair play to them those kids could easily support Leeds or the two Sheffield teams but stick with Bradford in league two
Admin phantom Posted June 4, 2021 Admin Report Share Posted June 4, 2021 Did anyone notice what their crowds were like? I wonder how many of those buying the cheap tickets actually go to the games on a regular basis? Or maybe they add their season ticket sales into their attendances whether people are there or not? To be fair, i'm pretty sure that's what we do already. Once a seat has been sold, it counts towards the attendance. Regardless of whether anybody is actually sat in it. Eddie Hitler
He was absolutely clueless at Plymouth when things started going wrong; like LJ he couldn't get out of losing streaks. It's easy to be a good manager when things are going your way.
