Leveller
So, it’s confirmed he is leaving Real Madrid and the media are full of stories about a potential transfer scramble to sign him up. This seems odd. Why should the likes of Man Utd be desperate to sign a 35 year old who is arguably over the hill and certainly not “the future”? Is it worth signing up a fading star, even for a year, to play at their level? Man City, PSG and Sevilla are getting mentioned too.

Gazred
He might fancy a return to Sevilla. Can he still manage 40+ games a season? Still a good signing for the right side.
formerly known as ivan
Silva is older and he was instrumental in Chelsea’s champions league success last season. There might be a longer term impact as they will get one, if not two decent seasons from him which will potentially hold up the progress of younger players. It’s all about the here and now in terms of success though. Edit - Also if it means someone like Man City selling Laporte for £60m+ and having Ramos come in on a free transfer then it would also make financial sense as well. OneTeamInBristol
Still one of the best defenders in the world even at 35. Would be a brilliant addition to any club, serial winner.

RoystonFoote'snephew
Injured for much of last season so the Spanish national team have moved on (which is fair enough) but he could still do one hell of a job for somebody and scores more goals than Aden Flint. Probably. Maureen falls out with just about everyone Can't see him in England. Man City, Chelsea dont need him. Liverpool a definite no. Man U maybe, but they need investment upfront. underhanded
Ramos is certainly not over the hill. One of the most consistent, influential defenders in the world over the last 10 years. Seems to be in the Ronaldo/Ibra class of being in absolute top physical fitness despite his age too.

(Not saying they do or don't need investment up front, I couldn't name half the Manchester squad) Like how City have needed a midfielder to break up play for seasons now, but we've signed none. Ska Junkie
Great defender but I can't forget how he 'did' Mo Salah in Europe last year / maybe the year before. Dirty, cynical and meant, everything you want in a defender. I can see him at Juve (total guess) when Chiellini finally retires.
