If they're willing to pay £100mil for Kane they may as well push the boat out further and secure Haaland who is only 20 years old and I believe has more potential to be a top striker than Kane.

Vastly different type of player though, and I don't believe Haaland suits Pep & Man City's style as well as Kane would.

I actually think Haaland would suit a Chelsea style better

SS saying he hasn't turned up for training. Prob going from hero to zero with the Spurs fans.

It's a tough one for them to swallow but he's basically outgrown the club. Don't blame him for seeking success, at least it's not all about the money on this occasion.

For me, he’s signed a contract with the club and should honour that contract.

Regardless if he wants to move or not. Lesson here is, don’t sign a multi year contract if you don’t see yourself at the club over a long term period. So for me, unprofessional from Kane and I would expect more.

I think  Kane's big mistake was trusting Daniel Levy.

I absolutely agree, and that’s Kane’s fault. You don’t stand on a gentlemen’s agreement in business. Especially when millions are in the fold.

If Levy doesn’t want to sell, then he doesn’t want to sell.

Take the money and move on. He's only got half an ankle left

If I was Levy I’d sell. Kane’s mood will have a knock on the rest of the squad and no doubt will affect his performances.

Spurs need re-investment and those funds will help them dearly. Just not sure they have the correct HC to utilise them.

With it without Kane, I think Spurs will be on the decline.

No one of sane mind would enter a gentleman's agreement with Daniel Levy, bloke is ruthless.

Don't blame Kane for wanting to better his career - I've been following football for about 35 years and Spurs have won next to f-all in all that time, despite purporting to be a big club (or think they are big enough to enter that Super League)

Just been reading comments on the other thread that seem to think this is good news. How, why, what is good about Kane and Grealish giving even further dominance to an Arab Sheik and a club that epitomises everything in football and society than is unfair, unjust, unsporting, undesirable and goes against everything people write about on subjects of how footballers are nice people, just earning a few quid in their short careers. More earnings in a week than how many doctors and nurses_ sorry, this should be the end of top flight football in England being the EPL. Almost certainly a return to the similarly elitist Super League by Man City to join Barca, Real and Juve will only be a matter of months away and more 'so-called English clubs to join them. Maybe that's our way to the top flight?

Anyone pretending the jokers on talksport and Radio five are right to be excited about this horrible state of our game should come on here and listen to people complaining about £30 for a ticket ; it's people who pay to watch Man City on tv that are the root cause of this sickening outcome

I find it hard to care about the Premier League and it’s going’s on now.
When/If City ever get there it’s still a closed competition for all bar 4/5 teams. It’s not a competition to win for a majority of the league it’s a battle to not drop out of it and a chance to see your team play some top players. It’s vastly unfair as a league and I’ve become detached for that reason. Man C spent another £200m this summer? Just shrug and accept that’s the way things are now.

I agree with this. However, I think the Championship is following a similar path albeit on a smaller scale.

Failures from the Premier get rewarded for being relegated and then they get a few bites at the cherry to go up again before the money stops. The play offs offer some hope that an outsider will go up but it's all a bit predictable. Worst of it is that I can only seeing things deteriorate further. Sad state of affairs.

I would suggest posting this on the Kane thread would have made more sense

Personally I don’t care two hoots what clubs like Man City do. Best teams have always bought the best players and always will

I do agree. I think sometimes the clubs that come down are on a bit of a downward trajectory or are mismanaged sometimes which again offers more of a chance to the rest of us, but at least it’s a competitive league.

Are you ITK as Kane still has 2 yes left on his contract. Don' t think Man City will buy both unless you know differently. Like others have said I have no liking for the Premier League, just don' t blame the players for earning mega bucks blame those that pay them.

With words like unfair, unjust, unsporting, undesirable and elitist did you perhaps mistake this forum for the socialist workers forum?

I hate the notion that in order to have a great career players have to move to bigger clubs to win something.

If kane stays he will probably finish top goalscorer of all time for spurs (the club he supposedly loves) and England. He is already captain of both and he will earn a huge sum of money in the process.... he might even win something along the way.

It might just be the football romantic in me, but how is that not a great career?
