The criticism of Kalas this season has been way over the top!

Was almost like a one man defence in many games. Great that he's doing so well at that level.

Just because he's playing well at the euro,s don't mean he was good for us!

He was part of a crap defence where he made his fair share of mistakes.

Fair play to him in the euros now though

Didn’t see a thread that stated the above fact and that now our captain has a chance of going all the way.

Great assist for the first goal and his usual blocking and defending.

Great stuff!

Great comments from Trevor Sinclair on the radio and Ali McCoist on TV and mention of us. Just think how many mentions Bristol City would have got  if it was on the BBC and JP was commentating.

YET Another success of the BS3 regimes that seem open for criticism on this forum. He has been very good for us until NP took over and has had a good Eurosand was fab tonight

We will keep him and another BS3 (MA et Al) success from this shop window - Nagy and we should be able to be top half in the Championship next year. Any loss will get slaughtered on here but I think we are in for an OK season with NP at the helm.

Was impressed with him today, excellent- happy for him- Assist too.

Additionally, dunno if they're the same stats that @JonDolman provided but 27/36 passes completed- ie attempted 36, completed 27- not stellar but certainly respectable, conservative passing of course but acceptable enough.

Better technically than he can get credit for, albeit not expansive with it- but that's fine, to me one expansive passing CB and one who is more about blocks albeit able to step a bit higher and intercept and sound if conservative technically in Kalas, would be an ideal pairing. Did he not have the most Interceptions vs Norwich in December 2018?

Odd comment, I thought he was excellent old fashion stopper and blocker.

Round peg in a round hole

Why odd?  Was replying to Mr Pop about his passing.  Wasn’t being critical, just giving context to which passes were successful and which ones weren’t.

FWIW I think Kalas is fairly capable on the ball, overshadowed by Webster when they played together, and therefore not given much credit for being comfortable on the ball.  Webster was excellent, and very few are at that level with the ball, and as fans we have raised the bar as to what level  “comfortable on the ball is”.

He was part of a demoralised team, full of people who didn't want to be there and others who just weren't good enough.  In those circumstances, Maguire, Dias or Rudiger would look poor.

Think that interview he did showed he was hurting, wasn’t happy.  Had one particularly poor game when Baker came in alongside him, but generally was one of the few to rise above the mediocrity (Bentley especially).
