Oh Louie louie
Was always a friendly derby game when i was growing up. Used to share each others ends, sit side by side. Went in one pub, on the outskirts of liverpool town center, one bar for blues, one for reds . Rafas very thicked skin, hes seen it all before. Oh Louie louie
I recall some bad blood, when liverpool signed nick barmby. At one point, i reckon everton maybe had 4 or 5 ex reds in the same team.

BCFCGav
Fascinated to see how Everton do this season. Flags with Benitez face on are still waved in the Kop. Everton fans seem almost universally unhappy. Interesting situation, especially if they start poorly.
Bristol Oil Services
In 1970, Everton are Champions of England, for the seventh time. They have won the FA Cup three times. Manchester United are in decline, Liverpool trying to keep up. They are the grand old team on Merseyside and are poised ready to go in to and capitilise upon the new era of televised football and cement their position as one of the country's most successful clubs. Liverpool are the upstarts trying to keep up with their seven title wins but just the one FA cup. As far as Everton are concerned, it's not even equal on Merseyside. What follows leads to a resentment, an envy, a bitterness we can only begin to imagine. Even without being denied a shot at the European Cup at the hands, feet and boots of Liverpool at Heysel, Everton would've been Bitterness Champions of England many times over (as Leeds, then Liverpool, then Forest, then Man Utd, then Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City took their rightful crown). They really should give up.
Phileas Fogg
I predict he will probably do lots of PR/charity work within the city that people will universally admire and that'll get people on side.
