Many venues need to be built that are way bigger than needed after the games, no matter what country it is. Though, London proved you can host without having any white elephants in terms of infrastructure. The long-term solution could be more use of temporary venues that get dismantled and re-constructed across many olympics. I think the Basketball Arena at London was sent to Rio in 2016. I wouldn't be surprised to see countries hosting the olympics instead of cities. No reason why all the sports need to be in one place. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
