BLRed
Back to 3 subs with a 7 man bench. good thing IMO In the main as normality resumes. Only downside is we won’t get the extra subs to continue giving youth some game time to aide first team development with us on a more regular basis. Nogbad the Bad
Plenty enough scope with 3 subs and 7 on the bench to bring on at least 1 young player per game, along with the 1 or 2 I imagine will be starting regularly anyway.
RoystonFoote'snephew
3 is enough. I note though that concussion subs are to be allowed if required presumably in addition to the 3.
BLRed
2 key points to this reversion are that we will see an end to over tinkering And less pointless late tactical subs that stalls game flow and increases injury time to 7-8 minutes. 2015
Much better having 3 subs. It gave such an advantage to more wealthier clubs. It also means that tactically Managers have to be better, with the 3 being used.
Lrrr
I wouldn't have minded some rule saying you can make a 4th/5th sub if the players you're bringing on are U23 and have played less than 'X' amount of 1st team games before the start of the season. A way for youth players to be given game time.
