I think we missed a trick in building one in Filton next to the Brabazon. Maybe the people YTL building the Hangar Venue might have wanted to invest in a stadium too.
only trouble would be it’s not big enough for all are fans.

The poster seems to have edited that and taken away the last line. The replies are more realistic, suggesting that they are a smaller club than Peterborough and only need a 15k stadium.

They barely need a 5k stadium, and the sooner they wake up and realise that, the sooner people will start taking them seriously.

15k indeed....

Where are all these 'fans' they talk of as 'ares' (illiterate prats)?

They don't exist. We've filled our stadium more than once and average over 20,000, theirs (or should that be there's?) is rarely half full.

Apart from the Atyeo, each of our stands would be too big for them so a nice little ground a la Shrewsbury, Burton or Morecambe would be perfect for them. 10/12k capacity would easily be more than enough.

They've had chances to improve their current dump and upgrade to 12k but it was felt that it wasn't ambitious enough. Well, you have to cut yer cloth and build as you go when in their position. Even if they just built some temporary stands as Blackpool did, if would be a massive improvement on that dump they have now. But I guess that wouldn't be good enough or big enough etc etc.

Stay still long enough and eventually everyone overtakes.

So, essentially “maybe someone else might want to build us a stadium”.

Story of their lives….and they still don’t get it ?

"Sunderland are no longer a big club"

Wow, just how can someone or something make such a sweeping statement. Especially coming from a moron who's team finished bottom of the same league.

How do they judge a "big club"? Is it by how many tents they have? Or how many grounds they've squatted in? Or have they won the Watney Cup.

Just where do they get these cretinous window lickers from?

How very dare you, they’ve erected the blue and white striped end tent, family tent and bus stop style side cover and capacious agricultural Blackthorn End Cover!! Not forgetting the disabled lean-tos and specialist multi-placement modular white PVC COVID compliant seating! Who could say that they had not tried their best???

Problem they have is that what you have just said, they actually believe it.

What was it ? Rovers have made more ground improvements than any other club (excluding Spurs).

Unbelievable.

I’m sorry, popping into go camping, Wicks and B&Q to pick up a few garden accessories and features don’t count as ground improvements IMO

Far be it for me to ever defend da gas - but as a rabid pedant I should point out that their current capacity is 12,300 - not that they’ve ever had that many fans in their ‘stadium’ - their ‘record attendance’ there is apparently 12,011 ... ?????????
