That's some CV he has and still not finished

CV in this instance stands for Completely Vile - any opponents now worth their salt should be sledging him from the sidelines every match next season, as the bloke appears to be easily triggered.

You would think that Social Services would be making a visit to the Barton's to find out where the "children" were during this incident and, given that Mr Barton is either going to be found to be a wife beater or Mrs Barton a liar who phones the Police with greatly exaggerated accounts causing her husband to defend himself in court, whether there potentially is any degree of future harm that could affect them. This sort of stuff gets children living on Council Estates or in Suburbs put on "At Risk Registers" so living in Kew shouldn't make any difference?

I believe that Mr and Mrs B had gone to their London home for a short break - sounds like the children weren't there.  I think that Social Services can have quite high thresholds before they will get involved - sometimes with awful consequences.

Gasheads talking about boycotting matches while he is in charge, one posted 'there could be a very low attendance for the first home game'. Serious point, would anyone notice if that was a boycott or their usual crowd?

There is the ready made excuse for a poor attendance on their first home game of the season.

What they should be doing is asking for a refund on their season ticket if there a lot who feel so strongly about him being their manager, that is the only pressure that will seem to make the club listen and act.

Well quite, if the alleged incident didn't take place, then the person (whomever that is) that made the call should be prosecuted for wasting police time.

Let's be honest, it's likely it took place. But she doesn't want him prosecuted now, what else is there for her to say apart from it didn't happen?

They must be taking the boycott VERY seriously.

So much so that they were even rehearsing it whilst Gerry Francis, Malcolm Allison, John Ward, Paul Trollope, Russell Osman, Ian Holloway, Paul Buckle, Dopey Darrell, Ben Garner and others were in charge...!

You surely must have that wrong, I keep reading that their followings are legendary, I mean why would I disbelieve anything they say? It's not like they are deluded or just constantly make stuff up is it......

If you've got a significant amount of time to spare, here is a link to a summary of Barton's previous misdemeanours.

From numerous training ground bust ups, to an incredible number of Red cards for violet conduct, to stubbing a cigar out in a youth team players eye, to attacking members of the public, numerous arrests, charges and sentences passed on him, to inflammatory remarks and public spats with fellow professionals....

How any football club could even consider appointing him as manager of their club is beyond belief..!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9114297/Joey-Bartons-incredible-rap-sheet-sacking-Fleetwood-Town.html

A point made quite vociferously on AssChat when he was arrested for the Stendel incident.  All changed for many of them when appointed.  They saw him as some sort of Messiah.  But as we all know, he's not the Messiah.....I'll let you lot fill in the rest!

From what I’ve read on here they were at a friends without the kids, they don’t live in Kew so not sure that matters?

Except isn’t it irrelevant now?  She got the police involved at the time and her statement then is evidence. They seem convinced that an assault had taken place and reported it to the CPS. Understand it will be tougher if she doesn’t give evidence but the CPS saw enough there to get this far. Whether or not she wants to press things almost doesn’t matter. Her choices now are:

1) Giving evidence (which may involve perjury if she isn’t honest or

2) Accepting a charge of wasting police time.

neither option will be bery attractive to her.

From Ass-shat :

“All parties were talking about a family-related matter when Mr Barton became quite angry about the topic of conversation”, she said.

Would love to know the topic of conversation that set him off.

Did someone ask him if he was looking forward to visiting Gander Green Lane?

A fellow partygoer say, “Let’s kick this shindig up a few notches” and whip out the chewing tobacco?

or, given it refers to a “family-related matter”, did he just wish to demonstrate that the Gash are an honest-to-goodness family club?

Enquiring minds wish to know.
