I don't think we need to compare one of our biggest fixtures in modern times.

Simply stating that they attracted what, 7k of their own supporters to arguably their biggest game of the season...!

I've been watching City for 30 years now and vaguely recall the dark days when we occasionally sank to 7k at some home games. Decades ago..!

Mind The Gap

Only brought it up because that pranny went on the City forum after our LC semi first leg to say that our following that night wasn’t impressive, that the Gash had taken something like 96 billion to Stamford Bridge earlier in the competition and that they could have sold loads more if offered.

Crowds were meagre across the board in those days so I don’t think that is an apples to apples comparison. Would we get as little as 7,000 if we played Swindon now even if it was in the fourth tier? No chance.

MTG indeed. ?

The beauty is that they are even beginning to realise what an embarrassing shambles of shite they are, themselves..!

It's funny that they say it, stating things we've been pointing out for years, but the realisation is certainly starting to develop on them.

Let's just take a moment to reflect on what Garner has done so far at Swindle.

He almost certainly got the job because after his disastrous spell in charge of the sags he was more likely to get an offer of a job flipping burgers than managing a team.

He took over a basket case of a side with no clear indication that the situation would improve. He had a handful of pro's on the books and a few more kids. Barely enough to field 11 players and a subs bench.

He had no pre-season friendlies left to play and what remained of the squads pre season was almost non existent. He signed a few players on a budget of a few quid but had little time for anything else.

SInce then he's melded a squad together, only lost 2 of his first 10 games and has Swindon comfortably sitting in the top 6.

Time will tell if this nothing more than a dead cat bounce but fair play to the man, he's certainly done some repairs to his reputation so far.

Bet he couldn't wait for that post match chat with Biffer

I can't take any pleasure in him having any success with Swindon.

If Swindon could finish the season in 23rd place, 1 place above Rovers, I'd be delighted..!

It's easy to forget what a vile club Swindon are. Only really remembered when we play them.

Utterly repulsive - just not quite as bad, or as much of a laughing stock, as Rovers.

1) if, for whatever reason, anyone wants to play a drinking game whereby you take a shot everytime he says “shit”....then don’t, unless you actually want alcoholic hepatitis.

2) WTF were those angry dwarves soiling themselves about at the end? This is all Garners fault or something? ?

Brilliant init. One start by having a go at garner but then shouts him down blaming Barton. The one blaming garner is a typical fewer , blame anyone but yourselves. Watching that , swindon absolutely battered them & play some decent football. Barton is a absolute clown & it’s fantastic  ??

The trouble with days like this is that we are now worried that Wally will finally grow a pair and sack the thug which is the last thing we want.

Rest easy brother. Joey Bag offered to walk, but Wally Bazoom said no, no, no.

Nope, still 100% supportive of the thug, according to the thug.

Happy days..!

Excellent summary and spot on with your facts. I would also add that the club is still under an embargo and can  only pay players a maximum of £1200 per month on wages.

Thats even earlier than last season.

Did he just give himself the dreaded 'vote of confidence'???

Surely it's time to fold the club, just a total embarrasment to the city of Bristol and all involved with the club. 13 points behind FGR after 10 games!

Hes right though garner has to take some blame, i mean he manages the opposition. How dare he get his players to try and beat the gas, whatever next. :)

As for being ex manager i think its pathetic to blame thier current woes on him. Garner has built a team from scratch whereas barton already had a team and a summer to sort. The buck stops with the current managnent team no matter who they try to blame.

Are you sure? That's probably below minimum wage depending what they define as a working week for a player. Did you mean per week?
