i do feel sorry for Wally sometimes. he has obviously put his faith into people  who are stealing a living ill advising him. has he made any good business movements in any direction since taking over??

Indeed.

Apparently, he was the subject of the scurrilous safeguarding allegations to which @Rudolf Hucker referred earlier.

Regarding their training patch, the story is in this post article:

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-modify-plans-quarters-5301986.amp

If you make it to somewhere near the bottom of the text it's apparent that the proposed design didn't meet FA requirements to host multiple youth games simultaneously.

They also forgot to build any office space in the original building design for support staff.

Artificial pitch - is that allowed in the league or will they have to dig it up?

Not sure.

Maybe the league should step in and ask the Sags to sort out their fake Fanta and the fake crowd noise they pump through the PA?

isnt it over by the lakes at chew?

When we were kids living in Hartcliffe Leeds were drawn against Sutton in the cup (1970), we managed to convince friends it was Bishop Sutton up over the fields near the lakes ?

They didn't plan any office space for support staff as they were going to pitch up a couple if tents for the support staff then move them back to tent city when they were playing matches.

But it's cost effective (cheap) they keep local businesses going (Go Outdoors, B&Q), and they're far quicker to install (put up) than a new permanent stand/building is.

Also when they have to move, they can pack it up and go.

We mock Wally and the deluded/unwashed few, but they're ahead of the times really. If the pitch(es) are ever flooded, then once again- they just pack it all up and go up the road.

It's genius really when you think about it. ?

There's gonna be a lot of multi colour tarps, used by leading clubs to cover seats in the Covid crisis, going spare. Expect a bit of Premiership flavour at the gas in future.

Just had a nice weekend in Torquay, which was all good until the last song on the last night and the entertainer asked if there were any requests. Yes cried a few window lickers from down the back, play "goodnight Irene". They then continued to sing the horrible dirge for a couple of minutes. I stopped one as he passed and reminded him that this famous song was stolen from Plymouth at around the last time they had any real success, in the fifties. He replied, "we're more loyal that City fans, even City fans say that". I corrected him saying that the word you wanted was dillusional, not loyal. He left the hotel this morning sporting his best gas T shirt. What the **** do they have to be so proud about that makes them tell the world who they are? It must be in their nature to thrive on adversity and, being a crap little club that shyte on everyone connected with them, unless they praise their famous quarters, must suit their persona.

Absolute mess of a club with the highest proportion of deluded fans one could ever want to meet.

So loyal they can't even fill their ground to attendance even when covid didn't happen.

But they are always the victim "we didn't get a capacity crowd because the balloon fiesta is on" (yeah for good reason because Balloon fiesta and city playing at home would be a nightmare) "England are playing at the same time so obviously people will watch that" or like the little brother who will always try and one up you like the rovers fan who went on the Man City forum to say that no one liked us and that rovers were liked more by other teams.

I just don't get their readiness to push their devotion to the club and, their complete ignorance of their total lack of anything of note, in success terms. It smacks of sadomasochism without the sex.

when did they do that ? .why did they go on man city s forum, i dont understand why they would think man city would give a flying fc,uk about their stupid little club .

It was because we took the largest following ever to the Etihad. One or two Pikeys decided to inform the Man.City forum that they would have taken more and pointed out they took almost as many for an evening cup game to Chelsea or wherever (they didn't).

Man.City forum laughed at them.

There's a brilliant Man City put down off their forum hiding away somewhere much earlier in this thread......

Hahahaha, Gas Go Marching On, although not the same moron who rung TalkSport.

Both shot down by rational non bias fans.

Gas more loyal than City fans?

Rovers nearly 2500 STs sold

City 11000+ STs sold.

As for City fans who agree with the mutant you encountered, unfortunately we do have a few ******* gullible numpties amongst our support who believe any old shit spouted by their slag mates in the pub on a Friday night.

Doesn’t make it true.

The figures speak for themselves.

They were absolutely RAGING around the time we beat Man Utd and played Man City. Our entire club including the support was getting admiring comments all over Social Media and they just couldn’t handle it.
