daored
With a new season a week away, be good to get back to the Gate and watch some football. Covid will impact on a number of clubs this season , and will hopefully see us continue to promote the youngsters into either the match day squad or the even the starting 11. Relegated clubs must be strong favourites to go straight back up, with the parachute payments and the lack of money elsewhere in the league. Predictions for top two, three to go down, placing for city and most important player for city this year? Top two: Predicable but West Brom & Sheff Utd (surprise team for top six QPR) Relegated: Derby, Peterborough & Huddersfield City can’t see us currently having the fire power for top half , 15th Most important player , James we need to start controlling the midfield better
pl00peh91
I’m expecting a fair few 0-0s and 1-0s (both for and against) from us this year, a bit like Middlesbrough under Karanka a few years back. I have a sneaking suspicion that we might have a promotion defence but our firepower up front is closer to a water pistol unfortunately. One of the keys to a successful campaign for Nige is whether he can get Wells firing like he did for QPR. If he can get 20+ goals this season we will be dark horses for the playoffs IMO despite the naysayers saying we will be in or around 19th. Hampshire Red
hard to argue with Jersey bean and hope we dont get too pessimistic about the reason to go and watch home and away games; Almost certainly tthe top 2 or 3 are known. Every club is bust and despite the fact otib will get some numpties telling SL what to do with his money, the league has just become a money-go-round joke. Some funny things will happen that relegate teams but Fulham are the only ones with money to spend legitimately and there is little doubt they will roar back, s will Baggies and 3rd place will be between Blades and Cherries. We could be top half if the mgt team can find a player like we did a few yrs back under previous regimes and found Bobby Reed to score goals that no-one on these social media sites had expected. More likely 18-13th IMO and rarely flirting with relegation enough for calls on here for 'Taxi for NP' !! @NP, it is time to step up
22A
The season is nearly over, so I looked back at what was said eight months ago. Well done @Daored; Relegated: Derby, Peterborough & Huddersfield (2/3 right) and City can’t see us currently having the fire power for top half , 15th. If it hadn't been for that late goal conceded in the first game, City would be above Blackpool with every chance of 15th. Well done too @Jerseybean; Championship 1 Fulham 2 Bournemouth @Hampshire Red More likely 18-13th IMO and rarely flirting with relegation enough for calls on here for 'Taxi for NP'
