Yate v Bristol City U23's

What a pleasure to watch first half. Intent, thought, movement and an urgency to get the ball forward quickly, on the ground.

Just reiterates what a really talented group of young players we have, even with many of the best of them not involved tonight.

Here’s for more of the same 2nd half.

Marlee Francois on at HT for Owura Edwards

Owura was playing in a 10, Marlee gone in to the same position.

Coaching staff didn’t seem happy with Owura’s decision making/movement.

In other news it seems Taylor Moore is on his way. To be announced in due course.

Better heading into Sodders, where there are a better quality of pub. Horseshoe and Squire my preferred drinking houses. Less Gas ?

Seem to also remember the Beaufort, the George (I think) and the Boot. Always used to be a good session along the High St and back with @Arthur Daley, GHC etc etc back in the day

8 drinking establishments along the high st now...from Grapes at top to the Bell.

An aquintance has just opened a new bar that used to be the old Lloyds Bank.

It's gone from a sleepy market town to a place where ladies do lunch so to speak ??..more so since Waitrose moved in  Bars, coffee shops, places to eat and local businesses thriving. Great Caribbean street food pop up in Hatherals yard isn't to be missed either. Thai restaurant at bottom of street is nice as well.

Still great for the locals but definitely a lot more travelling in to visit these days.

Only downside, house prices have gone through the roof.

Any reviews of the 2nd half?

Overall, if you take the game vs Yate last year against this one, we’re streets ahead. Last year we got bullied - this year we stood up. No small part there due to the physical presence at the back with Low and Williams. Wiles-Richards controlled his area well also. Moving further forward Morton impressive as he should be - but didn’t look like a first team player in U23 so the decision to move on looks correct. There was fast movement from Henry, Francois and Edwards - sometimes misdirected but looked to go with pace. Benauroys skilful but held onto the ball far too long and needs to gain awareness. Britton doesn’t do much but score but it’s what else he needs to do. Soady looked impressive, Taylor  likewise.

All in all a decent performance.
