That’s wrong, cash should always be an option for people.

Would normally agree bit with Covid and all that goes with it i think it’s sensible. Probably wasn’t the reason it went cashless in the first place mind.

If your happy to get on bus/train or go to pub with dozens of people sit in ground with 20k, handing a tenner over shouldn’t worry but it maybe for the staff I don’t know. It just seems an excuse to want away with cash.

Using food vouchers!

A couple of those massive Wagon Wheels were more than enough food for one day.

Hell of a scrum at for them at h/t in the old EE.

Not sure if that's because they were popular or because they didn't sell much else though!

The goverment are aiming to do away with cash all together and have a totally cashless society! The aim is within in the next 5 years so better get used to it!

That’s quite scary. Digital money and completely controlled.

What a load of nonsense.

They're running a consultation right now which is confirming how important it is. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/access-to-cash-consultation "This consultation is the next step in legislating to protect access to cash and ensuring that the UK’s cash infrastructure is sustainable for the long term." and in the last month they've said they're planning a law to protect access to cash in a local neighbourhood as a result: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57680897

At the March 2020 budget the chancellor committed to legislate and protect access to cash.

The treasury are supporting businesses offering cashback without purchase.

Not believing anything they say makes you as foolish as the people who believe everything they say.

You made the claim and have zero to back it up based of that I assume!
