Spoke to my Ipswich mate today... it appears Andy Rolls is back to his old tricks... Their injury list is mounting apparently... They were warned...

Don't worry, they'll be back in 2 weeks. Or after the international break. Or the break after that. Once they have seen a specialist in Solihull - twice. Etc Etc ...

On the subject of letting it go...

...Jonny Smith (never given a chance) scored the winner for Burton against LJ's Sunderland...

Just seen his goal on Sky - superb strike ….. then he had a cracking shot hit the post from outside the area. Another one who ‘might’ have got away!

Some strike too, lovely curling effort from the edge of the box. And then he hit the post with another long range effort a few minutes later.

Was thinking earlier tonight that we quickly took King off at the first sign of a knock, previously I’m pretty sure that would not have happened.

Massengo ready to come on quickly, none of this - gotta find me shirt, me shin pads, etc.

Think there was a little annoyance from Nige he wasn’t ready last season for one game.  He learned!!!

I watched the Cheltenham Vs Crewe game a couple of weeks ago. Cheltenham look a very good side.

I also saw Ipswich Vs Morecambe game and thought they looked like a team of strangers. Not sure how many who played that game are new signings, but im not so sure signing loads in one go works that often.

9 / 11 starters and 2 / 3 subs were new signings.

Interesting times ahead, because when your new signings find another new signing joining the club in your position in the same window it can create squad disharmony.

Im very disappointed in Paul Cook, his recruitment has been very focussed in the past at other clubs, even if some fans are not always complimentary about him, they are about his teams.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing Ashton fail at Ipswich.  I feel for genuine Ipswich fans.

He's a very good manager and I'd not judge him after three games. We're thankfully not in the market for a new manager right now though and I hope we won't be for a long time to come.

Agreed good manager with a good squad and signings there, always going to need a bit of time to get into their stride ..

How many of theese posters on this thread made the trip to Reading. Me thinks there were few but for all that did, how much better to write about positives for BCFC (OTIB) than this twaddle

It’s just a bit of fun.

It creates ‘column inches’ on the forum.
