fishy
Kalas long throw ins. Based on last night's game I'm hoping that we don't come to rely on them. It worked at Reading, but didn't seem to have much of an impact list night.
Davefevs
It’s a low percentage option….but it can create pressure. Sometimes it’s about picking up the bits and pieces that result. In fact wasn't Martin’s chance the second phase following a long throw (can’t remember for sure).
East Londoner
Maybe the reason it worked at Reading was that it was unexpected rather than trying it every single time like last night

Wrongagain
As we so rarely win 2nd ball from a throw I say keep going with the long ball - at least there’s a chance of something developing with the ball coming in long and high.
BanburyRed
Some variety, just flinging it in long is OK, but occasionally someone coming short to receive then a quick cross in.....the long throw can't always be relied upon to bring a positive outcome. Port Said Red
He needs to do them legally too, other linesmen might pick up that he steps across the line on occasions.
marmite
At least its an attacking throw. For years we have been just throwing it backwards!

Eddie Notgetinya
We have to stick with it because we can’t create anything clear cut in open play

I’m still sulking having spent 12hours doing a round trip to Bristol that should have been possible in 6. We do create a little, we just didn’t work the opposition goalkeeper once last night for 90mins.

A certain BBCRB caller focused on shots on target v Blackpool, we had 2. Last night, according to BBC sport we had 5, so how come we scored less? . Im being facetious (not to you), and I wish the keeper didn’t get worked at all, just let the effers go into the net
WolfOfWestStreet
He can't throw it far enough. It reaches the fringe of the 6yard box, whereas you need to dump it on the goalies head.
Lrrr
As said before it’s not necessarily about creating something in the first phase, if you pick up the second ball then great. How often do teams work a shooting chance from a throw in from a similar position when they go short? How often is the ball turned over within 5 seconds? steveybadger
Part of the issue is that we could do with more than one big centre back on the end of it, but one of our two is bunging it in.
Robbored
It became predictable with the same trajectory every time. It worked at Reading because it was unexpected.

Add that to the fact that last night it was expected (Swansea had done their homework) and it becomes easier to defend.

Totally my worry. You want Kalas in the box on the end of the long throw
Hampshire Red
Saturday's opponents have scored 8 goals this season-all from headers, se eral from Flint! Don't know how many were from throw ins

If you can win the flick on that’s plenty far enough. The second ball is much harder to defend than the throw
