That’s some faith in Liam Walsh! ?

I was going to put A Walsh,  but I thought nobody would be stupid enough to think it was Liam...!!!

For the avoidance of doubt it's Alan. Liam would be in with the Marvin Harriots and Bas Savages.

Brennan played a few games at right back so I’ve deemed that enough as couldn’t think of anyone else

I had RB as still to be decided.

Yes, I can recall a number of players having played quite well at RB, but none of them would get in the side I created!

Basically, we have been devoid of a cracking right-back for decades!

                    Basso

Ayling     Webster   Carey   Bryan

           Shelton     Elliott

Murray         Reid            Adomah

Subs : Cole, Taylor, Brownhill, Tinnion, Flint

Manager @Davefevs

That team would absolutely piss this league

Key rule: You have to have watched them play

Ok, with this in mind I go as follows:

Various reasons for having each one of these - ranging from the football to the sentimental. Having only really watched for 15 years or so I think that's a decent XI.

Demmery-Annan-Cottle-Marr-Wedlock-Hanlin-Staniforth-Maxwell-Gilligan-Burton-Hilton.

First Division runners up, the highest ever finish by a southern club to that point, the highest placed finish by a newly promoted club, the Bristolian Bristol City captain picked to play for England, winning doubles over Liverpool and Man City along the way. 2 years later most of those players took City to an FA Cup final and an 8th place finish in Div 1.

Not a lot wrong with the Boys of 76 either.

                         Heaton

Orr - Biff Newman - Webster - Scott (M)

Murray - Hartley - Testimetanu (sp) - Walsh (A)

                        Tinman

                           God

Probably a bit short of pace, but technically a pretty good side.

I’ll judge them roughly on their ability relative to the level they were playing at the time, otherwise I’d just pick the Div1 side.

J.Moller

M.Little | A.Flint | N.Hunter | M.Scott

S.Murray | G.Gow | B.Tinnion | A.Walsh

B.Taylor | M.Harford

Loads of others I wanted to pick, but some players like Orr I only saw once.

Locke            Flint           Webster       Brennan

Murray           Shelton      Noble     Smith (D)

                       Taylor    Goater
