We're looking consistent which is new/different.

This is a result based on a found rather than a particular tactic or result that doesn't mean anything next week. The foundation might not return a win every week but it is a consistently good performance which I'm more happy about.

Not new at all - we were all too consistent last season!

It doesn’t half make a difference when you have a group of lads who give a shit which is why people who can’t see beyond a result on a Saturday and banging on about Pearson’s record last season have completely missed the point and forgotten how bad things were. He was operating with both hands and feet tied behind his back.

We aren’t the finished article, a massive way off that, but we’ve competed in every game so far and that is a huge improvement. We were even winning games in embarrassing fashion last season let alone losing them. You can see the work that is going in to improve us as a team and the players as individuals.

These lads deserve fans that get behind them not moan at them. Do that and we’ll get that home win monkey off our backs. Great win today.

Well said No.1

I liked how Pearson and his coaching stuff allowed the players to have their moment and then applauded them off, as others have said it really feels like we’re watching the start of something

Same at Reading too….not all about him is it!

And you can bet your life he told every single one of them how ******* fantastic they`d played when they got back to the dressing room.

NP feels the same pressure we do and to see the team you put out do exactly what you want them to and get the result they deserve must be very satisfying for a manager.

Semenyo’s dive after Morrison tried to tackle him and Antoine nicked the ball around him.  Antoine in fairness could’ve ensured he got caught by Morrison.

Semenyo diving and Morrison getting in his face afterwards

Thanks.

Can't condone Semenyo diving. But the togetherness was good.

Martin looked like he found it amusing more than anything.

Kalas totally sold by the reverse pass and had no idea where Moore was. Can blame Bentley all you want for not saving it originally but that lies with Kalas.

Personally think it lies with Bentley for letting the weak shot/cross beat him at the near post..............but Hey! Who cares we won........Yaaaaaah!!

Best performance of the season for me. This was a much more high intensity game than Reading, against a big physical side that we needed to stand up against. NP got it spot on with the team selection. Throughout we were faster to the ball than Cardiff and caused them some real problems running through the middle. In what was a tremendous team performance it seems churlish to pick anybody out but I thought Massengo, Pring and the front two of Martin and Weimann (with his two goals) were immense. Pring had the beating of his fullback while in the first half Han-Noah constantly hurried Curtis Nelson into errors. Not the biggest against the Cardiff giants Martin and Weimman used all their experience and nous to get the better of Flint and Morrison. James and King controlled the tempo, the back 4 were solid and Bentley did what was required. His own goal (against the run of play) was most unfortunate. A really good cameo from Semenyo, who replaced King, culminating in a superb assist for Weimann's classy second. Ref was decent I thought allowing proper challenges in a feisty derby. Great atmosphere and I look forward to tonight's highlights on Quest.

How satisfying was that? Not only putting that mucky mob to the sword but doing it with the best goal we have scored in yonks to boot.

Great performance by players and fans alike. Interesting to see the Cardiff fans follow the advice of their advertising boards - Visit Vietnam, Visit Malaysia, Visit Philippines, visit anywhere except their stadium on a matchday.

What happened after the game ? CATS were held back for ages so by the time we left it was quiet

There was a bit of fighting in the park on the way back to the station. Not sure how City fans got into the park as it had railings all along it. Police just about kept control but it was certainly volatile as a fair few Cardiff fans had hung around

As well as the focus on us, and all the positives- there's just something particularly satisfying about beating Cardiff I find. I know they're the closest we have to a derby these days but there's more to it!

I remember last season, they were pleading poverty in Jan 2021 (with Parachute Payments- and yes it was tough for everyone but PP can help)- then they sacked Harris, and signed Ng, Williams and Watters!! In a season where they added on loan Osei-Tutu, Benkovic and the small matter of Wilson and Ojo! Moore as well...Kieffer Moore, the Moore the merrier!

Complained about a lack of support from Government for football quite loudly, in their Accounts and perhaps beyond while listing all they had taken advantage of.

Complained about the distribution model in football in their support for PBP- acceptable stance, except when you consider that 2 x PL and 6 x Parachute Payments from 2013/14 to 2020/21 had seen them as a prime beneficiary!!

Oh the whole Sala thing too. Disgrace their stance on that.

Did they ever pay for him ?
what was it . Once a bluebird blah blah blah . Oh until we have to stump up some cash , then we want a enquiry .
******* that lot

Why use a bandage to put things right, when bondage is required.

Does Pearson also like to crack the whip?
